Lightweight panel connection easily achieved

Also on this year’s LIGNA KOCH presents the newest developments for woodworking industry and handcraft.

Also on this year’s LIGNA KOCH presents the newest developments for woodworking industry and handcraft.

Due to the shortening of resources and increasing prices for raw materials, the focus of the KOCH presentation on the LIGNA will be set on lightweight processing.

In cooperation with HETTICH, KOCH will show the recent developments and solutions in an area espacially dedicated to the lighweight panel.

On this year’s LIGNA the KOCH SPRINT-LightPanel premieres in front of a worldwide public. This machine is for automatic drilling, inserting and glueing of different fittings into the seamless lighweight panel.

With this machine technology, seamless lightweight panels can be automatically equipped with joint fittings even with very thin face material. Therefore, lightweight panels can be further processed like traditional chip boards.

KOCH focussed the development on the insertion of fittings into the stock end. Invisible fittings for cabinet joints or for heavy duty wall mounted shelves can be inserted automatically.

Besides the processing of the stock end, the KOCH-LightPanel enables the insertion of adhesive dowels into the face side of the lightweight panel. Standard fittings such as hinges, handles and excentric fittings can be screwed in as usual.
